Kenisha
Kenisha by K. J. Lundström and Ezra Gebremedhin
Kenisha deals with the background and development of the Evangelical Church of Eritrea from 1866-1935. The book describes aspects of Eritrea’s religious, cultural, social and political history during this time through the efforts of the Swedish Evangelical Mission. The book was unfinished by Lundström at the time of his death but was later edited and expanded by co-author Ezra Gebremedhin to complete the account up until 1935. The story includes examples of spiritual searches for God and the discovery of the Gospel in Eritrea and the Horn of Africa. Former ELCE president Mehart recommends it to all interested in the Protestant history of Eritrea and the region.
