Eritrea - Revolution At Dusk is a photojournalism book by Robert Papstein documenting the 30-year Eritrean struggle for independence from Ethiopian rule. It contains photographs taken by Papstein in Eritrea before its liberation in 1991 when the Eritrean People's Liberation Front defeated the Ethiopian army. The book discusses the Eritreans' determination to achieve independence after years of war and famine, as well as Papstein's optimism about their cause mixed with sadness over their hardships facing the superior military resources of Ethiopia and the Soviet Union. Papstein is a photojournalist who has traveled extensively in Africa and teaches at the Free University in Amsterdam.
