Against All Odds is a firsthand account of Eritrea's 30-year struggle for independence and social justice from Ethiopia. With little outside support, Eritrean nationalists brought successive Ethiopian governments backed by the US and Soviet Union to their knees. At the same time, they worked to liberate women, workers and peasants from poverty, hunger and oppression.
